2 days 1 night Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – M’hamid – Erg Chegaga -Lake Iriqui – Taznakht

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – M’hamid – Erg Chegaga
Departure at 08:00 am from your hotel in Ouarzazate. Our journey will take us through the beautiful Draa Valley to Zagora, where we will drive partly on off-road roads. We will stop on the way to visit the subway Kasbah, the Koran library and a pottery of the historic Tamegroute before arriving in Mhamid, where we will enjoy our lunch. Here you will change cars to the back of a camel and enjoy an unforgettable trip to the Sahara desert.
Then we will continue by 4 × 4 to explore the wonderful landscape passing by a Sacred Oasis and reach the immense sand dunes of Erg Chegaga.
Day 2: Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriqui – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
Early in the morning, enjoy the sunrise on the sand dunes followed by a hearty breakfast at the camp. We will leave our camp in our 4 × 4 jeep on the old Paris-Dakar road, cross the Iriqui Lake and finally reach Foum Zguid. Lunch will be served in the Berber village of Taznakht.
Then we will continue to Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the UNESCO site of the sixteenth century. Ait Ben Haddou is one of the best preserved and most spectacular Kasbahs in Morocco. Ait Ben Haddou, a famous site for Hollywood movies, was used for the successful Gladiator movie. We will return to Ouarzazate around 5:00 p.m. where your driver will drop you off at your accommodation.
