5 Days From Marrakech to Merzouga

Day 1- MARRAKECH 

Pick up at the airport in Marrakech. Transfer to the Riad. Visit DJemaa el Fna Square and the medina, the heart of the city. A unique experience, where all the life and night activity is concentrated: dancers, storytellers, jugglers, artisans, merchants and snake charmers. From the terraces of some cafes you get a wide panoramic view of the city: mosques and minarets, palaces and gardens, souks and bazaars. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2- MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS- OUARZAZATE- THE GORGANTAS OF DADES

After breakfast, pick up at the hotel to start the tour. We will cross the High Atlas, crossing the T’ichka pass at 2260mts high, making stops to contemplate the landscape and take pictures, as this is one of the most impressive routes in Morocco, where we will change the vegetation of Marrakech along with the views of the palm groves and the north side of the mountains, by the aridity of the south, and begin to observe the first adobe villages of the Berbers in the foothills of the mountains. After passing the city of Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert, we will continue through the Draa Valley, reaching the impressive Dades Gorge. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3- THE DADES GORGES – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA

We start today’s journey through the Saghro mountain range, a chain of rocky mountains located in the pre-desert, with little vegetation, only dotted with small oases, such as Tazarine and Alnif, with gloomy and beautiful scenery along the way. We will arrive to Merzouga, where we will change our 4×4 for camels, which will lead us to the camp to spend the night in tents and enjoy a magical night under the stars. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4- MERZOUGA – MERZOUGA DESERT – RISSANI – OUARZAZATE

Today we will wake up early to contemplate one of the most incredible spectacles of the desert, its sunrise. Then we will return on the back of the camel to the lodge for breakfast and start the route to Ouarzazate, before making a stop in Rissani to visit its traditional market, considered one of the largest and most important in southern Morocco. In the evening arrival in Ouarzazate, a city known for its universal film studios. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5- OUARZAZATE- AIT BEN HADDOU- HIGH ATLAS- MARRAKECH

After breakfast we will head to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the best preserved fortified village (ksor) and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, as well as the scene of many films.
Again we have to cross the Tizi-n-Tichka, and the High Atlas Mountains. Arrival in Marrakech and transfer to the Riad or airport. End of our services.
